About

The R180 in action in Dunedin
WHO WE ARE

We are independent distributors for New Zealand of Aerial Work Platforms manufactured by Easylift in Italy.

Based in Dunedin, we are a family owned business. Our company was incorporated in 2017 when also the first R180, a tracked spider lift with articulated boom, was acquired and its certification process started for the Australian/ New Zealand market.

WHAT WE DO

Having achieved certification in 2018 for the R130, 160 and R180 tracked spiders, we are now distributing these models in New Zealand. A selection of larger tracked spider lifts are scheduled to achieve Australian/NZ certification soon.

We lease our equipment to larger contractors and rental companies, and provide competitive financing options.

We liaise with training course providers for operators of Elevating Work Platforms, and provide individual familiarizations specific for EasyLift’s spider lifts.

We provide engineering support for the selection and setup of aerial lifts. Compared with other EWP types, spiders are lightweight, and so reduce the risk of ground instability. However, we always advise that an experienced engineer assesses ground conditions as a prerequisite for safe operation. We develop user friendly maintenance and operation checklists to ascertain safe and legally compliant operation by employees and customers.

MISSION

Making access affordable to contractors and businesses, big and small, at a realistic cost

Supporting every single customer with their project

Promoting and educating about the aspects of working with spider lifts and cherry pickers

Learning from experiences in NZ to help the manufacturer improve their products and range.

Encouraging and empowering the public to adopt Aerial Platforms wherever these can better and more safely solve their access needs.

Removing personal barriers to innovate work methods and ways of accessing work sites. Promoting skills and knowledge.

Supporting contractors and engineers, through technical discussion, in the development of their work plans or procedures, and the associated hazard identification and management.

HEALTH AND SAFETY

We provide logbook and maintenance registers as well as pre-job checklists specific for each EWP model. These have user friendly templates that allow the user to create records that are fully compliant with WorkSafe’s Best Practice Guidelines for Mobile EWP’s. Yet these forms are simple and easy to complete.

We believe that safeguards (procedures and systems) against operational risks are only as effective as they are easy and economic to implement. They must optimise efficiency, operator comfort and minimise cost. Notwithstanding the significant amount of study and advanced engineering that went into making Easy Lift’s spider lifts safe, the final product equals simplicity, and pre-job verification instructions are clear and concise.

INTEGRATION

In our mission, we strive to achieve our objectives through supporting other organizations, and learning from others.

We are a member of the Elevating Work Platform Association of New Zealand.
