ARTICULATED BOOM LIFTS
Similar as human arms and legs, articulated booms (also called knuckle booms) consist of several comparably sized sections connected together by hinging joints. This enables Aerial Platforms with an articulated boom to be especially suited for access to confined spaces, or to reach above an obstacle. They allow access to sites that are geometrically complex.
Also, thanks to their construction, Easylift’s articulated boom lifts are generally lighter in comparison with telescopic boom lifts with similar reach. They are slightly easier to transport and to set up, as they exert minimal ground loading.
The booms of Easylift’s larger RA-series models can even reach below the spider’s chassis and stabiliser legs, a feature that is desired on certain construction sites.
Each individual section of an articulated boom can, in itself, also contain two or more telescopic parts. In contrast, telescopic booms operate mainly by extension of several telescopic parts.
